San Diego Still Has It’s Glam

Perhaps it’s the gloomy, 70 degree weather or the fact that the Padres just about lost the lead in their series against the San Francisco Giants, but San Diego hasn’t been feeling up to its normal speed lately. Yet even with the normal signs of fall approaching this city of sun, we’ve still got an enormous array at our fingertips to enjoy this Southern California playground.

It’s that time again – Restaurant Week is here and San Diegans far and wide can’t stop talking about it. There’s an endless list of fine dining experiences just waiting to be welcomed by your palate, including personal favorites like Cucina Urbana, La Jolla Strip Club and The Prado. What’s great about the bi-annual Restaurant Week is nearly every great restaurant in the city is on the list, and for a three course menu for either $20, $30 or $40, why wouldn’t you want to try?

The next adventure might just be a day in Balboa Park, but if you really want to embrace the fall this month venture out of the box with the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival, or instead head to the hills of Temecula for an entire afternoon of the grapes. You’ll be sure to find a perfect pairing, whether it’s in east county on a Sunday afternoon, or during the annual downtown festival the weekend of November 17.

What else is there? Oh, you can bet a lot more. What with the shimmering sun calling our name, that’s all we have time for….today.
