The Best…Lunch in San Diego

Want to get your grub on? There’s no better spot to get it than in San Diego, where you’ll find out of the ordinary entrees served noon ’til night. With the latest “Best Of…Lunch” list on NileGuide you’ll find that your average sandwich isn’t going to cut it after you’ve tasted treats like these.

Bread & Cie will give you the classics, with hearty yeast to make your mouth water. Other favorites here include Zanzibar, Bread on Market and Cafe 976.

Hodad’s serves head-size burgers with….a line. After Guy Fieri came to this shop in Ocean Beach (with a new one coming downtown), it hasn’t been the same since.

You won’t find better Mexican than at El Camino, but then again, it isn’t all that traditional. You’ll get the basics at Casa Guadalajara up north, a former Old Town favorite that moved in to Carlsbad.

Craving something a bit more healthy? In California, we are all health nuts, anyway, so you’ll find an acai bowl is never far away, especially at Big Squeeze Juice Bar.

A San Diego obsession doesn’t just start at 5 o’clock – enjoy Karl Strauss beer with a hearty sandwich or burger with a local classic.

Think we missed something? Let us know.
