The first week of the month means free museum days in San Francisco. Here’s a few you can check out this weekend –

Asian Art Museum – free Sunday

San Francisco Maritime Museum – free Sunday

Museum of the African Diaspora – free Saturday and Sunday (for Bank of America cardholders)

Contemporary Jewish Museum – free Saturday and Sunday (for Bank of America cardholders)

Oakland Museum –  free Sunday

Looking for a laid back party? The Common is throwing a going away celebration in honor of its relocation from SOMA to the Mission. $10 at the door gets you entrance and an open bar of beer and hard cider. Starts at 9pm at 1077 Mission St @ 7th.

Art lovers, check out the Mission Arts Performance Project, happening this Saturday 2/5. It’s an all day art crawl around the Mission starting at noon on Saturday and running until 4am. Ten venues are participating, like Red Poppy Art House, but it doesn’t end there. Bars, cafes, corners, and other common spaces (maybe even BART) will host visual and performance art, spoken word, and live music. It’s a loose schedule, so go forth with an open mind.

The first annual Tenderloin Coffee Crawl will take place Saturday 2-5pm. Check the Facebook event page for details, although we’re sure to go because our new fave coffee shop Hooker’s is one of the stops en route.
