If you’re anywhere along the Central Coast today, you are well aware of the fact that it’s wet, soggy, and the rain isn’t letting up. If snugging in at home doesn’t sound very festive on this Friday night, here are a few activities that will keep you entertained…and dry.

Famous singer-songwriter (and local resident) Jackson Browne plays tonight at 8 pm at downtown’s historic Arlington Theater. Tickets from $43.

Do some downward facing dog and get centered for the weekend ahead. Eccentric yogi Eddie Ellner’s eclectic and renowned Yoga Soup class from 6:30 pm-8:15 pm at Yoga Soup will keep you warm on on this chilly evening.

It’s your last chance to check out Oscar-nominated flicks before Sunday’s Academy Awards. Head to Paseo Nuevo theaters for a 7:30 pm showing of The King’s Speech. Click here for the local theater schedule.

Stop in to Santa Barbara’s favorite music venue, SOhO for a night of tunes, eats, and libations. Snakefish with Aphid, Stomprocket, and La Vasa take the stage tonight. I can’t say I know the bands, but I’d say the names suggest they’ll get  you on the dance floor. Tickets: $5, 21 and over.

Anyone for bowling? Zodo’s promises “bowling and beyond” so grab a pitcher of cheap beer and hit the lanes.

If all else fails, stop in to Lazy Acres to pick up a wood-fired pizza (the jalapeno-sprinkled El Diablo is spicyyy) and a bottle of wine from the “10 wines under $10″ section, and get COZY. (Can you guess what I’m doing?)
