Celebrate Albuquerque’s 305th birthday at the Founders’ Day Fiesta, Sat. April 9 on the Old Town Plaza. The event honors Albuquerque’s cultures and first families. Festivities begins at noon with dancing and drumming by the United Native Council, followed by flamenco dancing, mariachis, and Spanish and Native music. At 3 p.m. the Parade of Eras showcases costumes and floats representing Albuquerque through the past three centuries. The free event also has a kid’s area and activities, including magic acts, piñatas and crafts. For more information, click here.
