Lovers of independent music shouldn’t miss the first ever fair celebrating Chilean music and independent record labels in late November and early December. The Primera Feria del Disco Chileno y Sellos Independientes is a project of the IP (Professional Institute) Arcos, and its Sound, Music Composition and Sound Tech departments and will take place organize from November 27th to December 4th.

Featured events include live gigs, talks documentaries, up-and-coming bands, tribute bands, disc sales and book launches, including the relaunch of Gonzalo Planet’s Se Oyen Los Pasos, a book chronicling the history of Chilean rock music.

The event takes place at Espacio Cultural Arcos in Santiago’s Bellas Artes neighborhood, at Santo Domingo 789, close to both the Plaza de Armas and Bellas Artes metro.

Sunday, Nov. 28th

11:30 Round Table Discussion about playing Chilean music on the radio.
4:00 Independent record label presentations
19:00 “Daniel Cantillana y Los Increíbles” present their new disc “Viñeta.”

Monday, Nov. 29th

7:30 Relaunch of author and musician Gonzalo Planet’s book “Se Oyen Los Pasos” about the history of Chilean rock music, along with a performance by his band Matorral, together with Mateo O’Brian of Los Vidrios Quebrados.
