Things to Do, What's New — By Bearshapedsphere (Eileen Smith) on March 25, 2011 at 12:30 am

Deep in the 3rd subbasement of the Centro Cultural La Moneda, which routinely brings excellent art for free or cheap to those lucky enough to be passing through, there is an exhibit entitled “Arte en América” (Art in America) with free entry Monday through Friday until noon, and for just 1,000 pesos after that.

The exhibit runs until April 24th, and contains more than 200 pieces of art, curated from the collection of the OAS (Organization of American States) and the IDB (International Development Bank) and spanning most of the Americas, with a painting by Andy Warhol and a piece by Roy Lichtenstein with sculpture, painting and photographs from all over the Americas.
