For a significantly more affordable and more Brazilian hip-hop experience, NileGuide São Paulo will be checking out the Batalha do Conhecimento (Knowledge Battle) at SESC Pinheiros – Teatro Paulo Autran on Rua Paes Leme. This show starts at 8 p.m. with tickets going for Rs. 2 to Rs. 8.
A film entitled Profissão MC (MC Profession) and subsequent discussion will proceed the MC battle in Pinheiros. Eight rappers from Rio and another eight from Sampa will then take over the mic. An elimination-style tournament will determine the champion.
Up-and-coming sensation MC Rashid also will perform at the event organized by MC Marechal, one of Brazil’s better-known names in hip-hop.
