Summertime Christmas is a strange phenomenon for most North Americans and Europeans. The city government of São Paulo recently made December a little more familiar for its gringo guests, however, with the opening of an ice rink in Vale do Anhangabau. Those wishing to strap on some skates though will have to do so before Friday, when the attraction closes for the year.

Skaters have 30 minutes on the ice, which accommodates 60 people at a time. The rink is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Here’s holding out hope that sledding someday comes to Sampa too!
