Jing’An District is a lively and exciting place. You are close to the epicenter of Shanghai but not so central that you are constantly in the middle of a mob. Many expats live in Jing’An due to the amazing transportation hubs, the quiet neighborhoods and the relaxed feeling that the tree-lined boulevards afford. Many of the nicer hotels are in the area, as are a multitude of great restaurants, bars and shopping venues. For a short or long term stay in Shanghai, try living like a local in Jing’An, in Shanghai’s Western-central area.
Jing’An is home to the Jing’An Temple a beautiful piece of Buddhist architecture and a calming place to transcend worldly suffering.
