If you’re looking to immerse yourself in art and culture, then look no further than Van Gogh Alive – the Exhibition currently showing at the ArtScience Museum here in Singapore.
Vincent Van Gogh is widely recognized as one of history’s greatest artists. Although the exhibition does not contain any original artwork from Van Gogh, it allows us to experience the techniques and colours used in his work on a scale never seen before.
Visitors explore the work and life experiences of Van Gogh through an artistically choreographed sequence of sights and sounds, as the artist’s masterpieces are projected onto walls, columns, roofs and floors, accompanied by a beautiful musical score.
Over 40 high definition projectors are used to project over 3,000 giant Van Gogh images of the artist’s masterpieces in this engaging choreographed display. Take the time to read about the individual paintings, and Van Gogh’s life influences during the period of painting, before kicking back and immersing yourself in this unique artistic display.
The exhibition is running until 6th November. Other exhibitions currently showing include Shipwrecked: Tang Treasures and Monsoon Winds, with Dali: mind of a genius coming soon.
