The Audi Fashion Festival, the biggest fashion event in the Singapore calendar kicks off this week, with a showcase of world-class collections by top international designers and labels. Running from May 13th – 19th, the event is now in its third year, with last year’s Festival attracting 9,000 visitors to its 13 shows.
This year’s Audi Fashion Festival is themed “Driving Imagination”, and boasts seven show days and an even more exciting line-up than before. Italian fashion house Missoni acts as the curtain raiser, with guests being treated to a presentation of their Autumn/Winter 2011 collection.
The festival will also end on a high note with the house of Ungaro presenting its Autumn/Winter 2011 collection with new creative director Giles Deacon at the helm. Named the “Best New Designer” at the British Fashion Awards in 2004, Deacon has also recently won acclaim as “British fashion’s most feted designer” in The Guardian.
Other highlights include shows from visionary designer Antonio Berardi, Tiffany & Co, who promise to showcase a stunning display of statement pieces, rising star Erdem Moralioğlu, and a display of Swarovski’s Autumn/Winter 2011 Wings of Fantasy collection.
Adding Asian flavour to the mix are international home-grown fashion heroes, RAOUL and alldressedup, who will both be presenting their Autumn/Winter 2011 collections and proving why they have established themselves as international labels that Singapore can be proud to call its own.
