Music Matters Live kicks off in Singapore this weekend, offering three nights of live performances from 26th – 28th May, and it’s all FREE! Music Matters is a live international music festival, bringing together over 40 bands from 18 countries, with performances taking place in seven different live music venues around Clarke Quay. Bands are coming from as far afield as Australia, Mongolia, Belgium, Canada and Denmark to try to make their mark and be discovered by the industry and gain new fans.
This year Music Matters is taking action to support the Japanese people following the recent earthquake and tsunami. The festival artists are being challenged to re-record Coldplay’s “Fix You” in just 36 hours. The track will then be unveiled as the Music Matters 2011 conference finale, and will be released globally in aid of a number of Japanese charities.
