Five Places to Propose in Singapore

If romance is in the air, and you are looking to pop the question to that special someone in your life, then here is our pick of the best five places to propose in Singapore.

Lights twinkling below you is always a good way to set the mood for romance, and the views don’t get much better than aboard the Singapore Flyer, the highest observation wheel in the world. To really impress, indulge in a Moët & Chandon Champagne Flight or book a private capsule to set the tone for that special evening.

If you’d prefer to cuddle up closer (and save some cash), then jump aboard the Jewel Cable Car for the journey across the sea from Mount Faber to Sentosa. Just bear in mind, that if the answer is no, there’s nowhere to run to when you’re aboard either the Flyer or the Cable Car!

If you would rather keep your feet firmly on the ground, then Merlion Park at night has stunning views across the water to the Marina Bay Sands and Esplanade Theatre, and has the dramatic backdrop of the skyscrapers of the Financial District. Alternatively jump aboard a lantern-lit bumboat for a night-time River Cruise to take in the views along the Singapore River. They can get pretty crowded though, so if you’re looking for privacy you may need to splash some cash and hire the whole boat to yourselves. It doesn’t get much more romantic than that.

If you like grand gestures, then propose Singapore-style at the Fountain of Wealth. The world’s biggest fountain is not only Feng Shui designed to bring good fortune to those who visit it, its laser light show takes dedications so you can project any message you choose… “Will you marry me?”
