Florida Aquarium a Must-See

Things to Do — By smeyer on January 24, 2011 at 3:08 am

If you love sea life, or you have a child that is a marine biologist in the making, you’ll want to be sure to add the Florida Aquarium to your must-see list when visiting the Tampa area.

The Florida Aquarium boasts 20,000 aquatic animals and plants available for viewing. Come see a shark up close or pet a stingray. Or watch as a scuba diver drops into the tanks for a interactive show with the audience. You’ll love walking the otters swoop through the water in the Wetlands area, or the beautiful tropical fish in the Coral Reef exhibit. The Bays and Beaches will show you the aquatic life native to Florida and visit Shark Bay in Ocean Commotion.

Extend your day by taking the Wild Dolphin Ecotour on a 72 foot catamaran and see marine life in their own natural environment. You may see sharks, manatees, dolphins, and a variety of tropical birds while cruising the bay.

For more information on all there is to do at the Aquarium, visit www.flaquarium.org.
