Things to do in Vancouver This Easter Weekend
Events, Kid Friendly, Things to Do — By Natasha John on April 22, 2011 at 4:57 pmThis weekend there will be many different Easter celebrations around the city and you will find everything from an Easter egg hunt, a race and early morning services. One of the most popular events in the city is The Great A-Mazing Egg Hunt at Van Dusen Gardens, but it’s already sold out. However, there is another event taking place there that’s worth going to this Saturday, April 23, 2011, and that’s the HSBC VanDusen Family Program Spring Beginnings. It’s geared towards families with children aged five to ten and there are two different sessions: 10:30 a.m. to noon or 1:30 to 3 p.m. During these times, kids will be able to go out and explore the gardens for natural treasures, bring them back to the classroom and create some art and then learn about birds, bees and all things nature.
In Stanley Park, the Miniture Railway will be hosting their annual “Easter in the Park” and kids are invited to bring their Easter baskets and take part in Easter egg hunts that will be taking place from 11am to 4pm, April 22 to 25, 2011. Tickets are $6.50 for kids 2-12.
