The sights from Vancouver are spectacular on any clear day from all areas of the city, but when you can take in a 360 degree view of the city at 430 feet from the ground, now that’s something to write home about. Step into the glass elevator and within 40 seconds you will be brought to the Vancouver Lookout‘s observation deck where you can see everything from Mount Baker, Stanley Park, all of Gastown, downtown and some of the most spectacular sunsets.
Neil Armstrong opened up the Lookout in 1977 and it’s been one of Vancouver’s most visited attractions since. Located within the Harbour Centre, one of British Columbia’s tallest buildings, it’s easily accessible by foot, bus, car and Skytrain. There are tours in varying languages, so don’t be shy to book one!
Another really great thing about the Vancouver Lookout is that tickets are good all day long, so you can go during the day to see Vancouver in all her glory and make a trip back in the evening to catch one of the best sunsets around. Kids under 5 are free and they also cater to group pricing. It’s definitely one of the best ways to see Vancouver and beyond!
