Okay, so I had no idea Wisconsin was home to the Carmex Factory. You learn something new every day. It’s great to know that comforting little jar of balm is homegrown. To take a tour contact Carma-Labs in Franklin,WI. Contact Paul Woebling, the President of Carma-Labs at 414-421-7707 ext 206.
Their website is pretty cool. Very interactive and answers lots of burning questions regarding Carmex. It was invented in 1937 and the business is still owned by the inventor’s family. During the tour you’ll visit the testing lab, see vats of carmex being made, and watch the products as they are packaged zoom by on conveyor belts.
Most interesting tidbit of information gleaned from the tour is that Carmex never goes bad.
