Dogwood Days
What's New — By petedevine on May 4, 2010 at 12:26 amYosemite’s glorious dogwood display is getting started this week, just a little behind schedule. The flowers are still mostly green but we expect that this week’s warm conditions will bring them close to full brightness by next weekend. At that point the shaded forests of Yosemite Valley will be lit from within by these big white bracts. Good places to see them well include: the walk up to Mirror Lake, the area near Fern Spring, along Northside Drive near Valley View, and anywhere in the shady, cooler parts of the Valley. When the dogwoods are turned on, you won’t miss them.
