Yosemite Freeze
What's New — By petedevine on August 31, 2010 at 2:16 pmAlaskan air dropped mountain temperatures into the mid-20′s during the past couple of nights at the Tuolumne Meadows elevation. Guests at the Tuolumne Lodge tent cabins, and tenters in the campground stayed snuggled in bed a little more than usual for a summer night. But summer isn’t over and the temperatures are coming up now. It should be back to the normal upper 90′s in Yosemite Valley in the next couple of days; hikers will sweat, picnickers will seek shade, and kids will be back swimming in the Merced River.
