Description:
Across from the malecón by the old lighthouse, the Emporio occupies an excellent location. Most of the rooms in the nine-story building have a view of the harbor. Some have balconies, others simply a large window. In 2008, the hotel was closed and completely gutted in order to perform a top-to-bottom renovation. It's scheduled to open sometime in the summer of 2009. Check the web page to see if it has reopened yet.
