Description:

  • A local favorite on the main street of town, this is one of the best places for food that tastes homemade. The prices are more than reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the generous portions. Although many regulars come just to patronize the Dutch bar and catch up on the latest gossip, the old-fashioned dining room deserves serious attention. Guests enjoy the fresh fish of the day (often wahoo) or such meat dishes as a leg of lamb filet, tournedos, and sirloin steak. The most popular appetizers are onion soup, Bonairean fish and vegetable soup, and shrimp cocktail. Mona Lisa is known for serving fresh vegetables on an island where nearly everything is imported.
