Tips and reviews

Here's what Trippy members say about Davis Square:

"It has numerous fun neighborhoods (Davis Square, Union Square, Inman Square [technically in Cambridge]) that are within walking distance to a 10-20 minute subway ride into the center of Boston and all the historic attractions."  See More

"Are they art museum people? If so, the Museum of Fine Arts is a must-see. It has a very large collection and a museum not big enough to hold it all, the result being that it's one of the best-curated art museums I've ever set foot in. The "Ladder District" has become a center for nightlife in Boston. (Hilarious for anyone who grew up there because it was once known as the "Combat Zone." Aaaaaah, gentrification...) It's been a couple of years since I lived there and the nightclub scene changes fast. All my old standbys have been bulldozed into the ground in order to build condominiums. This is a good beginning resource for places to go: ."  See More

"In Davis Square, a cheap but delicious spot to grab a quick, vegetarian-friendly, budget bite is Amsterdam Falafelshop."  See More

"You could also hop the Redline train to Davis Square where you'll find Amsterdam Falafelshop which is amazing, inexpensive AND vegetarian."  See More

"Take a trip up the Red Line to Davis Square, technically in Somerville but super quick and easy to get to."  See More

"Somerville has Holiday Inn Boston Bunker Hill Area, an IHG Hotel on Washington St. It also has a bed & breakfast on Morrison Ave. There are many places to stay via AirBnB too. Check out Powderhouse Path, Davis Square shops and restaurants, Bunker Hill, Prospect Hill, Assembly Row. Ball Square has three great places to grab breakfast. Lots of things to do and see here. Bowling and pizza at the lanes on Day St. Walk along Alewife Brook or Mystic River. Rollerblade, run, walk, or ride your bike along the bike path."
