Description:

  • It's an all day blow out when Boston celebrates the New Year by hosting a citywide party for families, with numerous free events. The highlights of the celebration are a parade on New Year's Eve, a laser light show over the Boston Common and two fireworks shows. There are also outdoor ice sculptures, music and other arts performances. Indoor exhibits and performances require a First Night pass, which can be purchased at many locations around the city. Most of the fun takes place on the city's waterfront and Back Bay districts.
