    • Langone Park is located immediately on top of the area which held the molasses tank, which exploded and killed eleven people in the famous incident now called Boston Molasses Flood Disaster in 1919. The park has a baseball diamond, playground and bocci courts. To its east end is the Puopolo Park at the entrance of which is a small plaque commemorating the disaster. Close to the harbor, the park is open from dawn to dusk.
