Description:
- Situated in downtown Boston along the historic Freedom Trail, the New England Holocaust Memorial commemorates this tragic event. Dedicated in October of 1995, the memorial features six 54-foot-high glass towers. When completely illuminated at night the memorial becomes a breathtaking sight. The six towers are meant to represent the six Nazi death camps, and six million numbers of those who perished due to the genocide of this event are etched into the in glass. A granite panel provides an outline of the key historical events of this time period.
