Local Hidden Gems
Description:
Do things in Boston that the locals enjoy, like breakfast at Trident, lunch at the Barking Crab, a martini at Stanza dei Sigari or a play at the Lyric Stage. The ferry out to the Boston Harbor Islands gives you the best view of the city and being out on the ocean is a special way to enjoy the harbor. This day in Boston does not include the usual tourist attractions, so it is off the beaten-tourist-path.

Day 1 - Boston
Start off the day with breakfa*t and a book at Trident Booksellers & Cafe. Next, spend the morning exploring the Boston Harbor Islands (you may only be able to fit in one island). For lunch, get a pitcher of beer and some fried clams at the Barking Crab. Next, head over to the Back Bay. The Boston Public Library at Copley Square is a historic building that is cool to check out and there are often interesting free exhibits. Get the fruit, cheese and bread plate at Other Side Cafe (if it's warm out, there is outdoor seating) before heading over to catch a show at the Lyric Stage. End your night with a c***tail and a cigar at Stanza Dei Sigari in the North End. There is always late night pizza at Cafe Pompei next door if you're so inclined.
