    Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art -- known to locals as BMoCA -- is a venue where one can expect to see almost anything art-related, from the lighthearted to the elegant, political to religious, by regional and international contemporary artists. The Leanin' Tree Museum of Western Art features 93 artists and an array of paintings and bronze sculptures, and is one of the largest collections of Western art in the nation.

    Other art galleries are more for buying gifts than simply perusing. Art & Soul Gallery offers a sophisticated variety of fine art, craft, and jewelry, as does SmithKlein, which carries a little bit of everything, including hand carved Zuni fetishes, hand-blown glass pieces, pottery, and paintings.
