CU Campus / University Hill
CU Boulder – not UC – is worth a visit just to see the beautiful red sandstone buildings with their red tiled roofs. Be sure to check out the Mary Rippon Theater, a beautiful outdoor theater that hosts the Colorado Shakespeare Festival in the summer. Behind this theater is the CU Natural History Museum, which offers guided tours (scheduled in advance). Pry open the massive doors of Macky Auditorium to see the plush red chairs and beautiful stained glass windows. This is one of the most beautiful buildings on the CU Campus and hosts music events throughout the year (and is also rumored to be haunted!). Old Main was the first building on campus and for a long time was comprised the entire school; it now hosts the CU Heritage Center, which will help you learn more about the history of the school. ake a walk through the quads and With a school of 28,000+, there must be a place where students can buy cheap food.
