- It's a new old place. It is/was a methodist chapel. Now they have a canteen and a nursery and a hotel/hostel. No religious undertones or indoctrination ;-) Rooms are small but clean. On the net search engines claim that showers are shared, but I have my own shower and toilet and table and mirror and wardrobe... Everything is fine. And it's extremely cheap! In 2010, earlu June I'm paying only €15/day!! It's not in the centre, and it takes 20-30min to walk the 1.5km, but if you're on a tight budget or if you prefer to spend your cash on travelling and food - some great places in Braga - this is definitely a good choice. On top of that they have two extra big rooms: TV room and a library with table tennis and another TV! There is kitchen, but you can also go downstairs to the canteen. They have a washing machine and a dishwasher and three fridges! And the staff in nice! Aurora Costa is heplful and understanding. So, if in Braga, consider Centro Joao Wesley.
