Branson Attractions

Branson offers splendid views of the Ozark Mountains, cultural attractions, and entertainment for the whole family. If you are visiting Branson for the first time you should buy a seat on the Branson Scenic Railway. This World War II-era train takes you on a 40-mile roundtrip excursion through Ozark foothills and tunnels where you'll learn the history of long-ago communities that dotted Missouri at the turn of the century and how the railroad helped to shape the Ozarks. If you'd like to tour Historic Downtown Branson by boat check out the Lake Queen located off of Branson Landing. The Lake Queen is a modern day replica of the grand riverboats which used to traverse the White River. As the boat tours Lake Taneycomo your guide will explain facts and trivia of the historical and present day waterfront.

Now that you're in the mood for some more aquatic and entertaining activities check out the Ride The Ducks tour. You can pick up these WWII amphibious vehicles right off The Strip and you'll be able to explore Table Rock Lake and Dam, and the Ozark Mountains while the tour guide explains some of Branson's history. Once you have finished your hour-long duck tour head over to Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. Not only can you see the strange things inside the museum the building itself is somewhat of an oddity, because it has a very visible crack in it. The crack represents the strongest earthquake in the US which occurred in Missouri in 1812. You can also find things to do on The Strip that are more suited for adults only. Check out the Thousand Hills Golf Resort for a challenging game of golf set amid rolling hills, lakes, and creeks.

Silver Dollar City is by far the most unique attraction in Branson. Part theme park and part live action historical theater, Silver Dollar City is a full day adventure. You'll step back in time to an 1880's craft village and be able to buy crafts from authentic craftsmen. You'll also ride amusement park rides and see music festivals. While you are at Silver Dollar City you should stop by Marvel Cave. Not for the faint of heart, a tour of the cave takes you 300 feet into the earth and requires walking down 600 stairs.
