• This romantic mountain hideaway is a lovely contemporary log lodge, with a stone fireplace in the living room and magnificent views of the mountains and town. All rooms are named for and decorated around the motif of a Colorado mountain pass. There are hand-painted tiled showers -- no tubs -- in standard rooms, but the two suites have hot tubs and river-rock gas-burning fireplaces. All units come with private decks, CD players, robes, and fuzzy fleece socks. The homemade gourmet breakfast includes a hot entree, plus fruit and muffins. In winter guests also enjoy complimentary après-ski drinks, including hot citrus cider (an old family recipe), and the beverage bar is available 24 hours. Located just outside the town limits, an easy path takes you right into town. The inn is also conveniently located on the free ski shuttle route; children 13 years and older are welcome. Neither smoking nor pets are allowed -- the resident dog has prior claim.
