Ridge Street and the Arts District

While most year-round residents of Breckenridge are outdoor enthusiasts, the area is also a prolific arts and culture Mecca. In 2001, the town began to renovate some of its historic buildings, which now make up the area known as the Breckenridge Arts District. Most of the buildings are located on or near Ridge Street. This pedestrian friendly neighborhood is home to a number of outdoor and indoor spaces for workshops, artists-in-residence, galleries and cultural events. Examples include the Tin Shop, the newly renovated Fuqua Stables and the Robert Whyte House on Ridge Street. Those who enjoy excellent stage performances should catch a show at the Backstage Theatre. The Hearthstone Restaurant and Fatty's Pizzeria are also located on Ridge Street.
