From Denver: I-70 West (82 miles) CO- 9 South exit 203 Frisco/Breckenridge. Continue along highway 9 for approximately nine miles until it becomes Main Street

From Colorado Springs: CO-24 West (62 miles) to CO-9 until it becomes Main Street.

Getting Around

Shuttle

Free Ride (+1 970 547 3140) is a free service between mountain bases and the free parking lots. The shuttle also circles the perimeter of town, making stops at various intersections, the ice rink, City Market, and Peak 9.

Summit Stage (+1 970 668 0999/http://www.summitstage.com) is a free shuttle service between neighboring resorts Keystone and Copper Mountain as well as the towns of Dillon, Frisco, and Silverthorne. The Service operates year round between 6a and 11p.

Vail Express Shuttle (+1 970 496 4386) departs daily during the winter at 8a from the Breckenridge Transfer Center to Vail Resort. 20USD, reservations strongly recommended.

Trolley

Town Trolley (+1 970 547 3140) Runs daily during the winter season from 9a to midnight every 20 minutes, serving downtown and Breckenridge Village.

Getting There

By Car -- I-70 runs through the middle of Summit County. For Keystone, exit on U.S. 6 at Dillon; the resort is 6 miles east of the interchange. For Breckenridge, exit on Colo. 9 at Frisco and head south 9 miles to the resort. Copper Mountain is right on I-70 at the Colo. 91 interchange.

By Airport Shuttle -- Most visitors fly into Denver International or Colorado Springs and continue to Breckenridge, Frisco, Keystone, and/or Copper Mountain via shuttle. Colorado Mountain Express (tel. 800/525-6363 or 970/926-9800; www.cmex.com) offers shuttles; the cost from Denver starts at about $80 per person, one-way.

For additional information on Breckenridge and other parts of Summit County, contact the Breckenridge Resort Chamber at its welcome center at 203 S. Main St. (daily 9am-9pm summer and winter, with shorter hours in spring and fall), and administrative offices at 311 S. A source of visitor information for the entire region is the Summit Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 5450, Frisco, CO 80443 (tel. 800/530-3099 or 970/668-2051; www.summitchamber.org). The chamber has an information center in Silverthorne at 246 Rainbow Dr. Both are open daily from 9am to 5pm.

Getting Around

Dillon Reservoir is at the heart of Summit County, and I-70 lies along its northwestern shore, with Frisco at its west end, and Dillon and Silverthorne toward the east. From Dillon, take U.S. 6 about 5 miles east to Keystone and another 15 miles to Arapahoe. Breckenridge is about 10 miles south of Frisco on Colo. 9, and Copper Mountain is just south of I-70 exit 195 (Colo. 91). Loveland is just across the county line at exit 216 on the east side of the Eisenhower Tunnel.

Summit Stage (tel. 970/668-0999; www.summitstage.com) provides free year-round service between Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne, Keystone, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain, daily from 6am to after midnight from late November to mid-April and shorter hours the rest of the year.

You can get around Breckenridge on the free bus system (tel. 970/547-3140), and there's also free shuttle service at the Keystone Resort (tel. 970/496-4200).
