Barbados offers a variety of nightlife for everyone ranging from hanging out a local bar, to attending a dinner show, to exploring the coastline of Barbados during a stunning sunset cruise.
If you’re looking for the happening scene on Barbados, most of the trendy nightclubs and bars can be found in Bridgetown and on Bay Street in St. Lawrence Gap. Here you’ll find local bands and DJs playing everything from Caribbean reggae to rhythm & blues. St. Lawrence Gap also has a number of hotels and apartments if you’d really like to immerse yourself in the fun.
Sunset cruises are offered by a number of tour operators around the island; most include a stop for snorkeling and swimming, a leisurely cruise along the coastline, and a buffet dinner at sunset. These types of cruises usually also include unlimited drinks so they’re somewhat of a booze cruise for those looking to let loose; if that’s not what you’re looking for, or if you have children going along, be sure to inquire with the tour operator ahead of time.
As one of the top tourist attractions on the island, Atlantis Submarines Barbados offers a unique adults-only Five Star Champagne tour that operates only on Thursdays. You get to enjoy the spectacular underwater scenery while sipping champagne and indulging on hors d’oeuvres.
Dinner shows offer a sneak peek into the cultures and traditions of Barbados. The Bajan Roots & Rhythm show at The Plantation Theater in Christchurch is a sexy, lively, dance show that’s sure to entertain. Harbor Lights Beach Extravaganza and Dinner show has been voted the ‘best of Barbados nightlife’ for its oh-so-tropical beach side nightclub; visitors will be entertained by fire eaters, limbo dancers, stilt walkers, and even acrobats. Once you’ve paid your entrance fee, drinks are always free from 9:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
For those wanting to see and be seen, Club Xtreme in Christ Church claims to be the hottest nightclub on Barbados where Xtreme partying takes places every Tuesday and Saturday nights. Offering 10,000 square feet of fun with three different zones to choose from, the island’s top DJs will be pumping out the music until the wee hours of the morning.
If piano is more your thing, visit the Lexy Piano Bar in Hole Town where live music takes place every night of the week. Hailed as ‘the best night out an adult can have in Barbados,’ the Lexy Piano Bar is a combination of music, sing-a-longs, dancing, sushi, and a steakhouse. The Carnegie Bar & Grille at the Hilton Barbados is also known for their great live music and refreshing assortment of Caribbean drinks and tapas.
