NileGuide Expert Says:
If you are looking for a pub you can count on to be inexpensive and decent, try O'neills. The food menu is also very good and they don't cheat you with the pints, meaning not fill them up enough. A lively place that can get a bit rowdy so better for friends than lovers.
NileGuide Expert tip:
Good for a meal, even for vegetarians. Excellent prices.
Description:
- A large pub near the Lanes, those familiar with Brighton will remember O'Neill's as the Old Vic (home to many local bands) and then Helsinki's. Popular with all, this Irish-style pub offers a variety of beers and drinks plus an extensive lunchtime menu. Choose from a large selection of sarnies, burgers, Irish ploughmans, mains and grills. For traditional Irish fodder, try the colcannon (mixture of mashed potato and cabbage).
