Preston Park: Brighton

Preston Park is the largest park near to Central Brighton. The largest Gay Pride Event in Southern England is held Preston Park every year. The cafe, rose garden, and the nearby Rookery Rock Garden along with the Clock Tower, the Rotunda and the Tile House, make Preston Park, a "proper" English park, meaning there's a lot more than just green grass and playing fields.

The area surrounding Preston Park is popular with students at the nearby university and amongst the dive bars and discount shops are some countercultural landmarks, like a particularly good gothic store right by the park, an outdoor market selling vintage clothing and organic food and anarchist bookshop.
