- Little Buddha opened in 1998 and is placed on the Dyke Road, a 10 minute walk from the town centre. The restaurant is small with space for about 30 people seated in plain and simple surroundings. Main meals are very reasonably priced with Thai curries, oyster, cashew, chilli or sweet and sour dishes from £3.95-£5.95. Salads and accompaniments are aplenty and there are also set meals at £5.95 per person for the lunch option or £14.95 for a huge evening meal for two. The latter is a veritable feast and a vegetarian version is available. Alcohol is not served on the premises; corkage charge is £2.
