Noori's

• The popular and established Noori's, situated in Ship Street, is easily reached from North Street or the seafront. The smart but relaxed surroundings - featuring pink-hued but subtle table decorations - seat around 60 people. There are a large selection of Balti dishes such as Zeera Harsha consisting of duck pieces stir fried with black and white cumin seeds. It is also possible to obtain some of the popular vegetarian side dishes, such as Sag Aloo, Aloo Gobi and Chana Bhajee, as full main courses if required. Food is of excellent quality and very fresh. Frozen vegetables are not used at Noori's and real chillies, rather than chilli powder, appear in the hotter curries. Although slightly more expensive than other restaurants Noori's is well worth a visit.
