• The Michelham Priory is Britain's most famous haunted place with the paranormal TV series, Most Haunted being filmed here. Literally a 'haunt', a number of explained activities have taken place and been sighted by different people since 1229, when an Augustinian lived here in isolation. Some of the legendary ghosts are a young girl Rosie, a former owner Thomas Sackville, a gray lady spotted by the bridge, a black hooded monk and windows opening and banging shut on their own. The Priory hosts Treasure Haunts so if paranormal activity excites you, a visit will surely send chills down your spine. Timings are seasonal so call ahead.
