• This little hideaway serves savory cuisine from the Mediterranean and does so exceedingly well. The daily offerings change frequently, based on the day's shopping for market-fresh ingredients, but what you get is usually well prepared, fresh, and flavorful. In what used to be "the little shop on the corner," this bistro has been installed with tables sitting on hardwood floors, the walls adorned with cityscapes. Most of the recipes are imaginative and sometimes surprising, as in the case of the slow-braised pork belly served with foie gras. The perfectly roasted breast of chicken comes with a delightful accompaniment of black-truffle potatoes, and the grilled tuna is still moist -- never dried out -- and served with fresh rocket leaves and a tangy tomato confit.
