Description:
Only 15 minutes from downtown Boston on the subway, this six-story hotel is in a mostly residential area not far from the Longwood Medical Area and Boston University. Because of the location -- which for many travelers is actually a plus -- it charges lower prices than more centrally located hotels for comparable accommodations. Guest rooms, which were renovated in 2006, are large and well appointed, with oversize work desks. Units at the front of the building have more interesting views; they may be slightly noisier because of the busy trolley route below, but double-glazed windows keep the volume down. The bustling Coolidge Corner neighborhood is a 5-minute walk away.

Just returned from our first stay at this hotel. Unlike a lot of people, I don't have high expectations when I stay in a facility. I want it to be clean, safe, and easy to get...
