Description:

  • Wasabi helps fulfill the Japanese food niche in the bustling, trendy Williamsburg area of Brooklyn. The interior is plain but pleasant, with wooden tables and chairs. The front windows, decorated with lights, look out on busy Bedford Avenue. In good weather, patrons may eat in the pleasant covered garden in back. The house special is tataki, fish that is barely seared on the outside and raw on the inside. Other Japanese dishes include udon and soba noodles, teriyaki, tempura, sushi and sashimi.

now what it used to be

  • I used to go to Wasabi all the time, but now it has a lot of competition in the neighborhood and it is not what it used to be. You can definitely find better options.
