  • A list of the most fun activities in Bryce Canyon? Easy! Getting outside is probably top on your list, so we've come up with the most fun things to do outside. Try a Snowshoe Hike in the winter or one of their famous Full Moon Hikes in the summer. Find a queenly shape among the hoodoos at trail's end on the Queen's Garden loop, enjoy a cool, refreshing stroll to Mossy Cave, and discover neat tidbits about local geology and flora and fauna during a ranger-led Rim Walk.

Bryce Canyon's highly-regarded Astronomy Programs are actually plenty of fun, even though there's a learning component involved. Gaze through powerful telescopes at some of the clearest, darkest night skies in America while the highly trained "Dark Rangers" tell you about our stars. For kicks, take a look directly at the sun during the day-we promise it won't fry your eyeballs.

Riding a horse on the Peek-A-Boo Loop is definitely fun, especially if hiking another step on your own doesn't sound like a blast anymore. And like most of our national parks, Bryce Canyon's Junior Ranger program is run by rangers who know that kids just wanna have fun...while their parents just wanna relax for a bit!

And even though Red Canyon isn't in Bryce Canyon (it's 8 miles down the road), it offers plenty of fun in the shape of mountain bike trails, hiking loops, and a smaller, therefore less crowded, imitation of Bryce's famous spiky hoodoos. Let the good times begin!
