Road trippers and adventurers: pull right up to the no-fuss, ready-made stays in the campgrounds/RV parking of Bryce Canyon National Park. There are two campgrounds with tent sites and RV spaces right inside the Park as well as quite a few outside. We recommend early reservations for most of these places, especially during busy holiday weekends.
Not much is simpler and cheaper than a campground. Sunset Campground and North Campground are right inside Bryce Canyon itself. Outside Bryce Canyon proper are two immediately adjacent campgrounds: Ruby's Inn Campground and Bryce Canyon Pines, each of which also offers RV spots and decent motel rooms.
The KOA and Pioneer Village Motel are located only 12 miles farther away from the Park entrance, which might work better for you depending on your travel plans. Check out the historic pioneer cabin at Pioneer Village Motel; it was the original home of the Park's namesake, Ebenezer Bryce, and his wife Mary.
Kodachrome Basin State Park is about 16 miles east of Bryce, but it is well worth a stop. This place will also provide quieter camping that is a little more back to nature, since there will likely be far fewer people around. It has full amenities as well.
If you're traveling between Bryce Canyon and Zion, or vice versa, the three RV/tents campgrounds in the town of Hatch are located almost perfectly in the middle. Of those three, Riverside Resort has the best tent sites, since some of them are actually by the river.
