Well, of course you're in Bryce Canyon to spend time in the great outdoors. We get that! Here are some of our favorite outdoor things in Bryce. We chose a wide variety of activities so you can see how many choices you have at this great park.
We picked the Junior Ranger program because it's such a wonderful way to get kids interested in the out-of-doors in general and national parks in particular. You can never learn an appreciation for nature too young. Fairyland Loop and Navajo Loop are two different experiences of Bryce, which is why we really like them. They showcase this Park's diversity.
Hikes unique to Bryce Canyon include the Full Moons Hikes, Snowshoe Hikes, and the Bristlecone Loop. Seeing Bryce at night under the glow of a full moon, with a ranger relaying cool facts, is just an incredible experience. Guided snowshoe tours will lend you a whole new understanding of this park in the wintertime. And bristlecone pines are among the oldest things on Earth. Pretty neat.
Horseback riding along the Peek-A-Boo Trail with Canyon Rides is a really special way to observe Bryce. The Rim Trail makes the list because you can see the surrounding views from each of the connecting hikes. For an unparalleled mountain biking experience, head to nearby Red Canyon and its stellar, Bryce-like trails. True backpackers should love the long Under-the-Rim Trail, which gets you into the superb, blissfully isolated backcountry.
