There is a shuttle system that runs through Bryce Canyon, including some stops at hotels just outside the park entrance, April-November. The shuttle stops at most of the overlooks, including the most popular ones. However, the shuttle isn't mandatory, so you can still drive your own car through the park.

For hiking, most of the trails are fairly steep, losing and gaining at least a few hundred feet since they all start from the Bryce Canyon rim and descend into the amphitheater. You can ride a bicycle through the park, as long as you stay on the main paved road.
