    Description:

What started out as the "Bingo Palace" in the 1970s has blossomed into the flagship of the Station Casino properties (with four other locations in Las Vegas and a new one in Henderson). Rooms are spacious and highly affordable, if a bit inconvenient from the action on the Strip. Famous for their excellent Feast Buffet, with carving and omelet stations, the hotel offers a variety of dining choices, from gourmet to fast food. They have kept the gigantic bingo parlor and remodeled and enlarged their casino over the years, so it's state-of-the art. The on-premise Laugh Trax nightclub offers great comedy shows each evening.

This place is in every sports fan's fantasies, and it really exists. The two-level, 33,000-sq. ft. bar/restaurant has three areas: the Screening Room, the Sports Arena and the Studio Grill. The Screening Room allows viewers to sit back in leather recliners and watch sports surrounded by 14 big screened TVs. The Sports Arena is on the second level and is filled with activities including a football toss, a climbing wall, virtual reality boxing, a duckpin bowling alley, and, of course, video games. The Studio Grill offers food like chicken wings and cheese fries, but also has pastas, ribs, seafood, and steaks. Don't forget to grab a drink while you're at it; even if you want to go play some more games, just put your beer or martini in one of the drink holders built into them. Really!

Luxury, excitement, Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty are all a part of New York-New York. Eat a Coney Island hot dog, ride the Manhattan Express Roller Coaster, be amazed at the Cirque du Soleil show, Zumanity. Rock out at Rok Vegas, down a drink at Coyote Ugly or hoist a draft at Nine fine Irishmen. Luxuriate in the Spa, lounge by the pool, or shop at Harley Davidson or Soho Village. Just like the city, New York-New York never sleeps. At the base of the Statue of Liberty replica, the permanent 9/11 Tribute to Heroes display respectfully preserves some of the thousands of heartfelt artifacts and items that were left at the statue to honor the victims and heroes of those tragic events. Those items not on display are preserved by the University of Nevada - Las Vegas.

You can't visit Zion without doing this deservedly classic hike, even if you stop short of the very skinny, very high up final push.

    Description:

This is of course the not-to-be-missed hike of Zion. Angels Landing is famous for its views, its drop-offs, and its thigh-blasting climb. It's easy to find a picture spot at the top that makes it look like you're about to step back into sheer nothingness, although you'll be yards away from the edge during your photo shoot. Early mornings and late evenings are best during the blazing and crowded summer months. Remember to seriously check your fear of heights before you tackle this climb; many hikers call it a day at "Chicken-Out Point" (officially Scout Lookout) which still offers nice views without the gut-wrenching proximity of a thousand-foot fall from the aptly-named Angels Landing. Bizarre but true: you can get cell service on top. Please respect your fellow hikers and maintain outdoorsy silence by texting only!

    Description:

Ah, cool and lovely, these pools make a great trek. Consisting of Lower, Middle, and Upper, the Emerald Pools can get crowded, so consider an early start. Sheer drop-offs on the trail make it iffy if you suffer from vertigo or have little children. If you want shade and ease of access, stick to the Lower Pools trail. Milt's Stop & Eat may be a classic burger joint, but they are not lacking for creativity - the Black and Blue Burger is crusted with black pepper and smothered with blue cheese, and the Chicago-style Hot Dog includes a dill pickle, jalapeno peppers, and celery salt. The Fiery Furnace is a labyrinth of narrow sandstone canyons and fins. Sudden drop-offs, dead ends, and twisty trails through the mazelike area are all part of the fun! There are no marked trails, and the area has suffered resource damage due to increased visitation. Hikers who want to explore the Fiery Furnace must obtain a permit at the visitor center (fee charged) and watch a minimum impact video.

All visitors are encouraged to sign up for a ranger-guided hike. The park began offering this strongly-encouraged option after many unescorted hikers got lost. Once you've begun this hike, there's no turning back.

This trail leads to Delicate Arch, the signature landmark of Arches National Park. Three miles long with an elevation gain of 480 feet, don't be fooled by mere statistics into thinking this is an easy hike. Completely unshaded, it can knock your socks off if you attempt it on a hot, sunny day. Bring abundant water, a sun-hat, camera, and a hearty constitution if you start midday in the summer! Classically spectacular arch, it's a must-see because of its beauty, accessibility, and demonstration of nature's forces at work.

    Description:

Spanning 290 feet, Landscape Arch is considered to be the longest natural arch in the world. At its skinniest point, it measures only six feet. Do you want to walk across it? Yeah, neither do we. Of course, you aren't allowed to do that anyway. You can no longer walk beneath it either, in the Park's efforts to reduce any issues from visitors doing just that and being bonked on the head by more falling rock. This old arch, considered to be at the end of its life cycle, might completely collapse at any time, so see it while you still can. This hike is great for younger kids and those pressed for time, as it only takes about 30 minutes to reach from the trailhead parking lot. This hike can also be part of the longer Primitive Loop Hike.

    Description:

Located atop the 800-foot high Stratosphere Tower, this restaurant offers a view of Las Vegas that is unmatched. The room rotates slowly at 360 degrees per hour so you can see the entire city from every angle. The service is superb and the excellent menu features steaks, fresh fish and lobster. Cocktails and a moderately priced wine list are available. Truly, this is an unforgettable dining experience. Afterwards, you can ride the rollercoaster at the top.
