Mystic Tree

User Review:

  • Mystic tree is one of the best restaurants in Bucharest, a gem among many other places. It is quite hidden, so it's name might sound new even to locals. The food is somewhat of a culinary adventure, with recipes like italian chicken with grapes, sirloin with dark beer and prune sauce, broccoli and gorgonzola cream cheese soup, spinach piuree and parmesan cheese. The deserts are even better and I truly recommend you ask what the chef has prepared for the day, as dishes get even better when they are left at the cook's own inspiration (like rum, raisin and passion fruit ice cream...mmm). The restaurant is located in an classy house, redecorated in an original, romantic way. I truly recommend you find a table in the loft, the most beautiful part of the whole place with large wooden beams and skylights and all the intimacy you need if you're out on a date. Watch out for entertainment nights, when you can dine with live music (mainly jazz, new-age) .

As a disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with the restaurant's owners. I just love the place and have discovered it one rainy night, 4 years ago and have been going there enthusiastically ever since :)
