  • If you've done the must see's and are after something different, our top 10 cool things to do in Budapest is the list for you: offbeat, unusual and downright awesome.

There are cool things to do both in the air and underground in Budapest. Try tandem parachuting above the Buda Hills or explore the city from underneath in the Buda Castle Labyrinth.

Our next three picks are funky things to see: the Aviation Memorial Park near the Ferihegy Airport, exotic aquatic creatures at the Tropicarium and crazy acrobatic tricks at the Hungarian National Circus.

Our sixth and seventh pick are cool things to eat and drink: delicious colourful marzipan figures at the Marzipan Museum and tasting wine at the King's Wine Cellar and Museum recently opened and dating back to the 14th century.

There are plenty of things to do out of doors in Budapest, and the Children's Railway; a one-hour ride through the flora and fauna of the Buda hills and the Segway Tour; the newest means of transport by which to discover Budapest are rather cool examples.

Last but not least, culture can be cool: The Jewish District is, apart from being the melting pot of Hungarian and Jewish culture, famous for its great night life. When in the neighbourhood, check out the infamous ruin bars and funky clothes shops for an alternative experience.
